ADC10 Aluminum | Equivalent Materials & Metal Specifications

ADC10 Overview

ADC10 is also known as A380. It is an aluminum alloy that is commonly used for manufacturing die castings. It is also one of the most widely-used and specified alloys that have many substantial benefits. In addition, to use in hundreds of applications, it carries significant mechanical properties.

ADC10 Equivalent Materials

Producers may replace ADC10 with equivalent materials that include A380 USA/ASTM B85 and ADC10 China GB/T and Vietnam/Japan JIS.

Characteristics of ADC10

When die casting with aluminum alloy ADC10, manufacturers can produce high-quality products in a cost-efficient and effective manner without sacrificing durability. The product trims or cast parts will work well in presses without cracking, splintering, and other commonly experienced problems found in other metals.

In addition to these benefits, the ADC10’s anti-soldering properties will extend the life of your tools and dies. Its composition will also reduce machine downtime, breakage, and maintenance. The ADC10 is made from pure aluminum, which makes it more flexible and malleable than other steel options.

However, it can also be mixed with other metals, including zinc, silicon, copper, manganese, and iron, for strength while conjoining the other metal’s benefits, such as extreme resistance to corrosion and cracking. Other advantages of ADC10 materials include excellent fluidity, tensile strength, and versatility in finishing options.

It also maintains strength at higher temperatures without sacrificing performance. It is relatively lightweight and possesses the best combination of thermal, casting, and mechanical properties. ADC10 also has a wide range of product use, including gearboxes, hand tools, engine brackets, and electronic equipment.

Uses of ADC10

The benefits of ADC10 make it perfect for broad application and use in manufacturing and die casting. It is used in digital displays, motors, automotive parts, toys, furniture, electronic accessories, computer equipment, printer accessories, metal shells, sports equipment, transportation equipment, LED lights, instruments, meters, elevator accessories, and more.
