Aluminum Casting Alloys
Redstone’s Manufacturing’s aluminum die casting companies utilize a variety of aluminum alloys ranging but not limited A304, A360, A380, A383, A413, and B390.

A304
Aluminum Alloy
Also known as K-Alloy, and it eliminates the need for painting, chromating, and anodizing. A304 has excellent corrosion resistance, and it has a 15% better cooling rate than A380.

A360
Aluminum Alloy
High silicon content (9%-10%) provides A360 with high strength and high corrosion resistance, even under elevated temperatures. A360 also has excellent fluidity and pressure tightness.

A380
Aluminum Alloy
A380 provides a good combination of thermal, casting, and mechanical properties. It’s resistance to hot cracking, pressure tightness, and fluidity make it a popular choice to cast engine brackets, electronic equipment chassis, and power tools.

A383
Aluminum Alloy
Often used as an alternative to A380. In fact, A383 exhibits better corrosion resistance while still displaying good mechanical properties, ease of casting, and it is lightweight.

A413
Aluminum Alloy
The castability of A413 makes it an ideal choice for intricate parts. A413 also has excellent pressure tightness and is often used to cast hydraulic cylinders.

B390
Aluminum Alloy
B390 aluminum alloy has good wear resistance and high hardness. Its strength makes it an ideal choice for internal combustion engine pistons.
