Redstone helps hardware teams move from released drawings to repeat production with documented quality, competitive unit costs, and engineering support from the U.S.

  • ISO 9001 certified facilities
  • U.S.-based engineering support
  • Direct manufacturing partner
Quality

Inspected, reported, and traceable

Every program runs on an ISO 9001 quality-management basis with first article inspection, dimensional and weld inspection, and material traceability. Each shipment carries the reports, material certifications, and conformance documentation an aerospace quality audit expects.

  • First article inspection reports on every new part
  • Dimensional and weld inspection on every program
  • Material traceability with mill certifications
  • Certificate of Conformance and source-inspection support
Cost

Low tooling cost, volume-driven unit pricing

Precision laser cutting and press brake forming carry low tooling cost compared with casting or forging, which makes sheet metal fabrication accessible for qualification builds and recurring runs alike. Unit cost falls as volume grows, and our engineering team flags DFM changes that hold form and fit while reducing labor.

  • Low tooling cost for cut and form programs
  • Unit pricing by volume tier
  • DFM review on bends, flanges, and hole placement
  • One U.S. point of contact from quote through delivery

From quote to production

A five-step process, documented at every handoff

From initial drawings to final delivery, Redstone keeps each stage clear, documented, and aligned with production requirements.

Each handoff is documented. No stage moves forward until drawings, materials, and production requirements are confirmed with the customer.

  1. 01

    Submit Your Drawings

Upload your CAD model, technical drawing, or flat pattern in STEP, IGES, DXF, or DWG. Our engineering team reviews every submission for manufacturability, recommends the right fabrication method, and flags DFM issues before quoting.

  2. 02

    Receive a Quotation

A detailed quote covering material options, cutting and forming processes, welding, finishing, assembly, and lead time. One U.S. point of contact, start to finish.

  3. 03

    Process Planning and Tooling Setup

We define cutting paths, bending programs, and welding sequences, prove the setup, and issue a first article inspection report before any production release.

  4. 04

    Fabrication and Production

Sheet is laser cut, formed on the press brake, welded, and assembled using CNC-controlled equipment, with in-process checks to hold consistent quality across the run.

  5. 05

    Inspection and Delivery

Components receive the specified finish, then undergo dimensional, weld, and material inspection. Every shipment includes a Certificate of Conformance and material certifications, with source inspection supported on request. We coordinate freight to your dock.

Frequently asked questions

Don’t see your question? Request a quote and our engineering team will answer it.

What materials do you fabricate for aerospace parts?

We fabricate aerospace-grade aluminum such as 5052, 6061, and 7075, and stainless steels including 301, 304, 316, and the precipitation-hardening grades 15-5PH and 17-4PH. Our engineering team confirms the best material for your application, finish, and corrosion requirements at the feasibility review.

What cutting and forming methods do you use?

We use precision fiber laser cutting for tight tolerances and clean edges, CNC turret punching for repetitive hole patterns, and waterjet cutting for heat-sensitive sections. Forming is done on the press brake for U, V, L, and channel profiles, along with roll forming and deep drawing where the geometry calls for it.

How do you ensure quality on aerospace fabrications?

Every program runs on an ISO 9001 quality-management basis with first article inspection, dimensional and weld inspection, and material traceability back to mill certifications. Each shipment includes a Certificate of Conformance, and source inspection is supported on request.

Do you provide material traceability and certificates of conformance?

Yes. Every lot ships with material traceability to mill certifications and a Certificate of Conformance. First article inspection reports and dimensional and weld inspection records accompany the parts so your incoming inspection has the documentation it needs.

What welding processes do you offer?

We offer TIG welding for precise, clean welds on thin material and stainless where appearance and control matter, MIG welding for thicker aluminum and steel on production assemblies, and spot welding, riveting, and PEM hardware insertion for assemblies. Welds are inspected on every program.

What finishes are available?

Standard options include anodizing and chromate conversion coating for aluminum, passivation for stainless steel, powder coating, painting, and bead blasting. The right finish depends on your corrosion, conductivity, and appearance requirements, which our engineering team confirms at quoting.

What are your standard lead times?

Standard production lead time is 4 to 8 weeks, with tooling and first article timing confirmed at the quote stage. Qualification and low-volume runs can be reviewed case by case.

What are the most common sheet metal design mistakes?

Holes or features placed too close to edges, small hole diameters that do not account for sheet thickness, short tabs, and tight bend radii are the most frequent issues we see during DFM review. These features look simple in a 3D model but require secondary operations or manual correction in production, each adding cost that a design revision could prevent.
