What we produce

Redstone supports production metal parts across automotive, electronics, industrial equipment, and consumer hardware programs.

Thick structural plate and machine bases

Thick structural plate and machine bases

Thick structural plate, machine bases, gussets, and wear parts. Heavy gauge cut clean with no heat distortion on the finished edge.

Energy and heavy equipment thick plate

Energy and heavy equipment thick plate

Thick plate and high-alloy parts for energy and heavy equipment. Cold cutting leaves no heat-affected zone, so the material keeps its full strength.

Flanges and pressure-component blanks

Flanges and pressure-component blanks

Flanges, pressure-component blanks, and corrosion-resistant alloy plate. Thick stainless and nickel alloys cut to clean edges for downstream welding.

Hardware OEM precision cut parts

Frequently asked questions

Don’t see your question? Request a quote and our engineering team will answer it.

When should I use waterjet instead of laser?

Use waterjet for thick plate, for metals that distort under heat, and for parts that cannot carry a heat-affected zone. Laser is faster on thin and medium gauge. Waterjet wins on thickness, on titanium and hardened alloys, and on any part where edge metallurgy has to stay intact. Send your drawing and Redstone confirms the process at the feasibility review.

How thick can Redstone cut on waterjet?

Up to 6 inches in steel and stainless on standard equipment, and up to 8 inches in aluminum. Thicker sections are supported at select facilities on a per-program basis. Send your plate thickness and Redstone confirms the right facility at the quoting stage.

Does waterjet leave a heat-affected zone?

No. Abrasive waterjet is a cold cutting process. There is no heat-affected zone, no hardened edge, and no thermal distortion. The cut edge holds the same metallurgy as the parent material, which is why waterjet is the choice for titanium, hardened tool steel, and tempered parts.

What edge quality does waterjet produce?

A clean cut edge with no burr and no recast layer. Most parts need no secondary deburring. Cut taper is controlled to spec on qualifying programs, and tight-tolerance features can be finished with secondary CNC machining in-line.

Can Redstone re-source an existing water jet cutting job from another supplier?

Yes. Send the existing drawings, material spec, and current supplier quote. Redstone runs a parallel quote with the certified facilities and projects landed-cost savings and lead-time impact before you commit.
